Windows

Congratulations, You've obviously achieved a great deal in your home already, to get to the stage where you would like to add replacement double glazed PVC-U windows for that finishing touch.
As with any investment, you should carefully consider all the options available. All windows are not the same, though it may seem that way.
A window is not just a window...
Most people are familiar with the benefits that PVC-U brings to the replacement window industry

such as extra warmth, draught and sound proofing, not to mention longer lasting performance than from replacement windows made from other materials.

Traditional Window Appearance

The deep chamfers on our windows have been carefully designed to replicate the putty line of a timber window. This gives all the advantages of PVC-U, while maintaining a traditional appearance, particularly if you choose the warm mahogany or golden oak woodgrain finish.

Fit Them & Forget Them

You really couldn't get anything requiring less maintenance than our windows! They don't need painting, so they don't warp, flake or peel. Just occasionally oil the hinges and locks and gently rub the frames over with a mild detergent to keep them at their best.

Soundproofing Offers You Peace & Quiet

Under test, our double glazed windows will achieve a rating of 30-40db (decibels). Typical ambient sound measures around 60db in suburban conditions, so your new windows will more than halve the noise, allowing you to relax undisturbed.

Excellent Thermal Insulation Saves You Money

PVC-U is a very poor conductor of heat and therefore makes an excellent insulator. In the construction industry, a material's U-value measures its ability to insulate, with the lower the value, the better the insulant. A typical old single glazed window has a U-value of approx 4.4W/m2K. Our frames have been tested and proven to have a U-value of 2.6W/m2K meaning our frames keep in nearly 60% more heat than typical older frames. This conserves energy and more importantly saves you money on your heating bill.

Glazing Options

The diverse range of our glazing options means you can really reflect your individual style and personality in your windows. Whether you want leaded, Georgian, clear, patterned or stained glass in your windows, we can help you choose the right look for your home and your  budget.

Reinforcement

Windows will be reinforced with galvanised steel where either size or location makes this a requirement.

Trickle Ventilation

Permanent ventilation can be achieved, without compromising security, by fitting a trickle vent into the frame; ideal for bedrooms or bathrooms where water vapour needs to be dissipated quickly.

Made in the UK for the UK

Designed specifically for the UK market's variable weather conditions, to exacting German engineering guidelines, our profiles are manufactured in North Wales. So we can help keep the warmth in and the weather out.

Casement Windows

As far as we are concerned, the days of chunky plastic windows have gone. Our 60mm range offers some of the slimmest, best looking casement windows available, in white, warm mahogany or golden oak woodgrain finish, to suit your house.

Casements are outward opening windows which maybe a combination of fixed, top hung or side hung lights. We offer a large number of different styles, including bay and bow windows, to ensure that we can meet your requirement. Decorative sash horns can be added to provide the authentic appearance of a box sash window and arched head inserts are also available for the cottage style window.

Our casement windows are internally beaded, which means that the glazing beads holding the glass in place are situated on the inside of the window, thus offering you maximum security.

Tilt and Turn Windows

Though often called 'continental' style windows, tilt and turns are well established in the UK market and a very popular option.

When opened in the tilt position, these windows facilitate air circulation in a room within just a few minutes, ideal for hot summer evenings.

In the turn or fully open position, tilt and turn windows offer increased ventilation possibilities. They also provide a convenient answer to cleaning hard to reach windows as they can be swung through 180 degrees and cleaned from the inside. Also available in white, warm mahogany and golden oak finishes, tilt and turn windows can exactly match the finish of your casement windows.

Security and Safety

With a high percentage of burglaries committed by opportunists on easy targets, no home owner nowadays can afford to neglect basic security precautions. With our double glazed replacement windows, you can choose your own level of security by incorporating the latest locking systems.

We will be able to provide you with details on a full range of security systems. For the safety conscious, tilt and turn windows in the turn position provide a large unrestricted opening for use as an emergency exit. Special hinges are also available for casement windows, so they can be opened wide in emergencies.

Toughened glass (complying with British Standard) is used for all glazing under 800mm from floor level for extra strength and for your peace of mind.

You can sleep safe at night in the knowledge that our PVC-U is self-extinguishing and will not burn unless exposed to a powerful and continuous heat source.
